Varanasi.
Una de las ciudades más antiguas en el mundo. Que crece y vive al lado
del Ganges. Es una gran fortuna morir aquí, vivir aquí, ser cremado aquí, nacer
aquí… Y nosotras, sabemos que es
una bendición estar aquí de visita.

most ancient cities in the world. Grows and lives next to the Ganges river.
It´s of great fortune to die here, live here, be cremated here and be born
here. We know it’s a blessing just
to be here visiting. 
Para estar aquí y disfrutar creo que es requisito estar. Estar presente. Con los sentidos en el aquí y en el ahora.
Disfrutar los olores del incienso, jazmin, chai e ignorar los de las heces,
orines, basura y otros. Deleitar la vista con los colores de los saris, los
ojos profundos, los cabellos aceitados y tez morena, y permitir la sorpresa al
observar las vacas, los toros, las cabras, rickshaws, niños, pobres, ricos,
sadhus, coches, mercados, puestos, que llenan las calles. No ha pasado ni un
solo día sin que veamos algo que nunca habíamos visto antes.
To be
here and enjoy I think you have to be.
Be present. With the senses in the present moment. Enjoying the smell, incense,
jasmin, chai tea and ignore urine, garbage and others. Enjoy the sight of the
colors in the sarees, deep eyes, oiled hair and darks skins, and allow to be
surprised by the cows, the bulls, the goats, rickshaws, children, poor, rich, sadhus, cars,
markets, street vending that fill the streets. No day has gone past where we
have not seen something we had never seen before. 
El ambiente te hace sentir como en una dimensión distinta. El río
parece estar ahí, como holograma,
hasta que alguien entra en él para desaparecer sumergido en sus aguas y salir
repitiendo mantras y sentirse fresco,
limpio y bendito. Para
nosotras así fue. Nos bañamos en el Ganges. 
The
enviornment makes you feel like in a different dimension. The river seems to be
there, like an hologram, until someone walks in it and dissapears under it’s waters
and comes out repeating mantras and feeling fresh, clean and holy. It was like that
for us. We bathed in the Ganges. 
La ciudad es un caos. Un bellisimo caos. Evidentemente el contraste que
encontramos entre Varanasi y Noruega es enorme, pero es más interesante y menos evidente los contrastes
dentro de Varanasi mismo. Aún no lo comprendo.
City is
caos. A beautiful caos. We
obviously found lots of contrast between Varanasi and Norway, but it’s more interesting and less
evident to look into the contrast in Varanasi itself. I still don’t get it.

Tanto que decir acerca de Varanasi, pero muy pocas oraciones se
completan en mi mente sin que otra idea se cree. Esperamos las fotos y estos

So much
to say about Varanasi, but few sentences complete in my mind before a new
